Laura Craven is the Director of Communications & Marketing for Dade Paper, a distributor of janitorial and foodservice supplies with locations throughout the Eastern United States. Originally from Chicago, IL, Laura holds a BS in Accounting from Elmhurst College and studied organizational psychology at DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. In 2015 she completed a 3-course Content Strategy Specialization Program presented by the Medill School of Journalism - Northwestern University.

With 20 years of experience in supply chain management, Laura has worked in both the manufacturing and distribution fields for organizations including McDonald’s Corporation and Network Distribution. She relocated to Miami, FL in 2004 and joined Dade Paper where she is responsible for internal and external communications, marketing and event management.  

Laura Craven, a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) - Accredited Professional, has presented educational sessions on the subject of green buildings to various audiences including the American Institute of Architects, municipalities, business associations and universities. Laura was interviewed in February 2009 by CBS4 Chief Investigative Reporter Michele Gillen for a televised program on the benefits of green cleaning in schools. She was a member of the LEED Project Team that earned Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena LEED Certification in 2009 and again in 2015.

Laura is currently fulfilling a “bucket list” dream of leaning to play the piano. Her favorite meal is Lou Malnati’s Chicago-style deep-dish pizza and frequently has it shipped on ice to Florida.
